Arthur Halks, 57, died on Sunday, July 3, 2016, during the Fourth of July weekend, after being taken from the Missoula County Jail to St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula, where he was pronounced dead. He was found unresponsive in his bunk at the jail. Detective Sergeant Eddie McLean of the Missoula Police Department said the death did not appear to be a suicide or the result of neglect. The medical examiner's report is pending, and the police said the investigation was continuing.
