Arthur Bankston II
Arthur Bankston II, 53, of Zion, died at the Lake County jail on December 31, 2024. According to the Chicago Tribune, a guard found him in his cell around 9:30 p.m. He had told jail officials he had a terminal underlying health condition and had been issued medications about an hour before he was found. The Lake County Sheriff's Office said he showed no signs of trauma, and the coroner is awaiting autopsy and toxicology results to determine the cause of death.
