Died in jail or a lockup
Armando Muniz
Armando Muniz, 35, of Tifton, died in his cell at the Tift County Law Enforcement Center on Friday, April 8, 2011. Jailers making rounds at about 4 p.m. found him unresponsive, according to the Tift County Sheriff's Office. A sheriff's office press release said no foul play is suspected and that the GBI is continuing its investigation. His body was sent to the GBI crime lab for an autopsy, and the cause of death had not been determined in the reporting.
