Armando Macias
Armando Macias, 50, died on April 2, 2026, while held at California State Prison, Sacramento, in Folsom. The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation said staff found him unresponsive in his cell around 7 a.m. and that paramedics pronounced him dead at 8:01 a.m. CDCR's Investigative Services Unit is investigating, and the Sacramento County Coroner will determine the official cause of death, which has not yet been made public.
