Ariel Ledesma
Ariel Ledesma, 47, died on December 14, 2020, while held at the Galveston County Jail in Galveston County, Texas. Court documents say that while jail staff were securing him in his cell, a sergeant pushed him out of the cell doorway, and he fell on his back and suffered a head injury. He died at a hospital that day. In June 2021 a former sheriff's sergeant was indicted for manslaughter in his death after an investigation by the Texas Rangers and the district attorney's office.
