Antonio Maurice Turner
Antonio Maurice Turner, 27, of Canton, was held at Phillips State Prison near Buford, Georgia. His mother, Katherene Stephens, spoke with him earlier on January 4, 2015, and said he did not mention any problems at the prison. He was found face down in his cell that day with four stab wounds. The Gwinnett County District Attorney's Office said it expects another person held at the prison to be indicted in his death.
Cause of death, as reported: Killed by another person in custody. The Gwinnett County District Attorney's Office says another inmate is expected to be indicted in the stabbing death.
