Antonio Jose Balias
Antonio Jose Balias was one of three men held in the jail at Las Lunas, New Mexico, in May 1893. The Morning News reports that masked men took him and the two others from the jail and hanged them from a tree. A Wilmington Daily Republican dispatch published two days later describes the same killing of three men taken from a jail, though it gives no date or location beyond the territory.
Cause of death, as reported: Taken from custody and lynched. Masked men took Antonio Jose Balias from the jail at Las Lunas, New Mexico, and hanged him from a tree, according to a report; the report gives no account of any jail or county officer response.
