Antoine Brooks
Antoine Brooks, 31, of Huntingtown, died on June 26, 2021, while in the custody of Calvert County deputies, according to the Calvert County Sheriff's Office. The sheriff's office said his breathing and pulse weakened while he was handcuffed and waiting for transport, and that he was pronounced dead at a hospital. It also said he had admitted consuming a controlled substance. The cause and manner of death and toxicology results are pending, and the Maryland State Police Homicide Unit is investigating.
