Anthony P. Garner
Anthony P. Garner, 53, was the father of two, and his family spoke publicly about his death. He died on December 19, 2018, while held at the Pleasant Hill jail in Cass County, Missouri. His family said he was found unresponsive in a jail cell less than four hours after he was arrested outside his mother's home. The Cass County Sheriff's Office and the Jackson County Medical Examiner's Office concluded that he died by suicide from asphyxia, and the family has said they dispute that finding.
