Anthony Lopez
Anthony Lopez, 37, was held at the Pinal County Adult Detention Center in Florence, Arizona, when, in September 2015, he was injured in the facility's recreation area. Pinal County Sheriff's officials said another person held there allegedly pushed him to the ground and struck him repeatedly in the head. Detention officers found him unconscious that evening, and he never regained consciousness before dying at a hospital. The sheriff's officials are investigating the assault, and the other person has been placed in a segregation cell; the cause and manner of death are listed as pending.
