Died in jail or a lockup
Anthony Garza
Anthony Garza, 67, died at the Chatham County Jail in Savannah, Georgia, in October 2025. According to WSB-TV, he reported abdominal pain earlier in the evening, and staff arranged hospital transport, but he was found unresponsive while he waited and was pronounced dead at the jail. The Chatham County Sheriff's Office says he had pre-existing medical conditions, and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation is investigating. An autopsy has been scheduled to determine the cause of death, and the manner of death has not been determined.
