Anthony Fennell McDonald, 35, died on February 16, 2024, while held at the Central Detention Facility in Washington, D.C. The D.C. Office of the Chief Medical Examiner gave the cause of death as ligature hanging and ruled the manner suicide. A Washington City Paper report said he was found unresponsive in his cell and pronounced dead at 3:53 p.m., and that the cause and manner had not been determined in that account.
