Anthony Dewayne Lewis
Anthony Dewayne Lewis, 49, died on April 30, 2014, while held at the Stiles Unit, a state prison in Beaumont, Texas. According to the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, he was found on the floor of his assigned cell with a self-inflicted wound to his neck. He was taken to the unit infirmary, where he was pronounced dead at 12:40 p.m. The agency called his death an apparent suicide, and the Office of Inspector General is investigating.
