Anthony Armijo
Anthony Armijo, 65, died on February 28, 2022, at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where he was being held. Bernalillo County spokesman Larry Gallegos said staff found him unresponsive during a 3:30 p.m. jail check and that emergency crews were unable to revive him. A judge had ordered his release on his own recognizance, and that release was due shortly after his death. The cause of death is under investigation.
