Antavis Miller
Antavis Miller was a family man who loved spending time with his young son and was expecting another child with his girlfriend, according to his family. He was found dead in a holding cell at the Gadsden County Jail in early August 2021. His cousin, Cynthia Miller, said investigators told her he hanged himself with a bed sheet tied to a shower head. The sheriff's office said no foul play was suspected, while the Florida Department of Law Enforcement's investigation was ongoing and no cause had been confirmed by either agency. Family and friends protested outside the jail demanding answers.
