Died in prison
Angela Renee McConnell
Angela McConnell, 39, died on February 26, 2023, at a local hospital, two days after she was taken there from the Huron Valley Women's Correctional Facility in Washtenaw County. Prison officials said she was found hanging in her cell on February 24, while another report said she was found unconscious, and authorities described her death as an apparent suicide. Prison officials contacted her family, and relatives were able to visit her three times at the hospital before she died. Michigan State Police are investigating the death.
