Andrew Williams
Andrew Williams, a Black man, was held in the jail in Houston, Mississippi, according to 1913 newspaper accounts. The Associated Press reported that he was about 35 years old and that a mob broke into the jail, took him from the building where he was confined, and hanged him from a tree nearby early on February 7, 1913. The Pensacola Journal account says he resisted strongly before being dragged out, but that claim is the newspaper's and is not confirmed by any other source.
