Andrew S. Ladd, 42, of Crystal Lake, died on April 5, 2021, while held at the McHenry County Adult Correctional Facility in McHenry County, Illinois. Patch reported that he was found in his cell that evening, and that correctional officers and Woodstock Fire-Rescue workers tried to save him before he was pronounced dead at the jail. The McHenry County Sheriff's Office said it is investigating, and the cause of death had not been determined when the report was published.
