Andrew Malanche
Andrew Malanche, 48, was remembered by his sister, Carmen Malanche, as a wonderful, caring man who shared family dinners with his children and grandchildren and spent days at the mall with his disabled niece. He died on July 21, 2015, at the Riverside County Jail in Indio, where he was held, after other people in his housing unit alerted staff. According to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department, he was pronounced dead at 7:09 a.m. The sheriff's department said his death is believed to be connected to swallowing packets of narcotics, but the Coroner's Office had not confirmed the cause, and officials said there was no indication of foul play while the investigation continued.
