Andrew Grodes, 48, of Bristol, Tennessee, was held in a Sullivan County cell and was found unresponsive on Saturday, July 1, 2023. He was taken to a hospital and died the next day, July 2. The Sullivan County Sheriff's Office says he died following an assault by a cellmate, and that the other person in the cell has been charged.
