Andres Haas, 28, died while held at the Whatcom County Jail in Washington state. On March 13, 2024, he and his cellmate were unresponsive in their cell, according to Cascadia Daily News. Preliminary autopsy results indicated fentanyl in his system, and My Bellingham Now reported that later toxicology reports also found fentanyl. Police say another person passed the drug into the cell under the door.
