Andre Larone Murphy Sr.
Andre Larone Murphy Sr., 42, lived in Lincoln at one time and was from Topeka, Kansas, according to his Facebook page. He died on the morning of May 27, 2026, in Norfolk, Nebraska, after police were called to a disturbance at a Super 8 motel, and the Lincoln Journal Star reported that he was involved in a scuffle with police. He was taken into custody, driven to Faith Regional Health Services, and pronounced dead shortly after 8 a.m. Madison County Attorney Joe Smith said an autopsy was scheduled, the Nebraska State Patrol is investigating, and Nebraska law requires a grand jury review.
