Andre Julian Holloway
Andre Julian Holloway, 31, died on June 12, 2021, while held at the Newport News City Jail in Newport News, Virginia. According to a Newport News Sheriff's Office news release, he was found hanging in his cell, and he was pronounced dead at 6:36 p.m. The sheriff's office and the police department are investigating, and the office said it did not suspect foul play. The state Department of Corrections will also review the death, and the manner of death is listed as pending.
