Andre Eugene Hope was 43 and lived in Fultondale. On Sunday morning, July 6, 2025, he was found unresponsive in his cell at the Jefferson County Jail and was pronounced dead about 25 minutes later. The sheriff's office said an autopsy found no sign of trauma or foul play, and the cause of his death was left pending further laboratory tests.
