Andre Erkins
Andre Erkins, 30, was the father of two young children, Joseph and Christiana, and his partner Natalie Meza and family remember him as someone building a life with them. He was held at the Fresno County Jail in February 2018, where he vomited, had seizure-like activity and collapsed in the jail infirmary, and he died at a hospital on February 17, 2018. The county coroner ruled the death natural, from atherosclerotic heart disease. His family says the death was never adequately explained, and a bunkmate says he was visibly ill for hours before officers acted.
