Anderson
Anderson was held at the state prison in Joliet, Illinois, when they were killed by a fellow prisoner, according to a court account reported in the Sacramento Daily Record-Union in November 1883. A man accused of the killing was convicted at trial, and a later court ruling granted him a new trial.
