Amy Wayne Morris, a 40-year-old woman, died on January 17, 2023, at the Wayne Brown Correctional Facility in Nevada County, California. According to the Nevada County Sheriff's Office, she was found unresponsive in her cell on a Tuesday morning and was taken to Sierra Memorial Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. The sheriff's office says the cause of death is pending the autopsy and that an investigation is underway.
