Amber Marcotte
Amber Marcotte, 34, of Santa Rosa, died on October 29, 2020, while held at the Main Detention Facility in the Sonoma County Jail. According to the Sonoma County Sheriff's Office, jail staff called an ambulance for her cellmate and then found Ms. Marcotte unresponsive in her cell shortly after 4:30 a.m.; she was pronounced dead at 5:20 a.m. The sheriff's office said there were no signs of a physical altercation, and the Napa County Sheriff-Coroner's Office is investigating the cause of death, which had not been determined when the reports were published.
