Amarendra Dasa
Amarendra Dasa, 21, of Spartanburg, died at the Spartanburg County Detention Center in June 2017, where he was held before trial. The Spartanburg County Coroner's Office said an autopsy found asphyxia secondary to hanging, with toxicology results still pending. The coroner, the Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office and the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division were jointly investigating the death. The coroner asked the public to keep his family in their thoughts and prayers.
