Alvin Wayne Ramsey Jr
Alvin Wayne Ramsey Jr, 25, died on December 6, 2013, while held at the Newberry County Detention Center in South Carolina. Newberry County Coroner Craig Newton said the cause of death was asphyxia due to hanging and classified it as an apparent suicide. A correctional officer found Alvin in his cell during a routine check. The State Law Enforcement Division is investigating the death.
