Alvin Haynes
Alvin Haynes died on January 26, 2015, while held at San Francisco County Jail No. 5 in San Bruno. Sources say deputies tried to search him and a confrontation with several deputies followed. The San Mateo County coroner, Robert Foucrault, said Haynes apparently had an envelope in his hand that deputies were trying to examine, and no cause of death had been released while the autopsy was pending. The San Mateo County district attorney, the sheriff's office and the coroner are investigating, along with two internal San Francisco Sheriff's Department inquiries.
