Alton Waye

Alton Waye was executed in the electric chair in Virginia. Minutes before his death, he used his last words to forgive the people who would carry it out, saying he did not hate anyone and loved them. Staff recorded his statement, and NPR later published the tape, as reported by Chiara Eisner.
