Alonzo Wright Jr.
Alonzo Wright Jr., 28, was held at Jenkins Correctional Center, a Georgia prison operated by CoreCivic. Jenkins County Coroner Henry Young said Alonzo Wright Jr. died on January 9, 2025, from injuries received in a physical altercation at the facility. According to the coroner, Alonzo Wright Jr. was pronounced dead at Jenkins County Medical Center, and the body was sent to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.
