Almus Young
Almus Young was held at the courthouse guard in Union City, Tennessee, in March 1885. According to a Nashville dispatch printed in the Caldwell Tribune, about one hundred armed men took Almus Young and two others from the courthouse guard. The dispatch says the mob hanged Almus Young from a tree at the fair grounds.
