Died in prison
Allen Eugene Longwell
Allen Eugene Longwell, 53, died on October 23, 2019, while held at Huttonsville Correctional Center in Randolph County, West Virginia. According to a West Virginia State Police criminal complaint, he was stabbed in his cell, and responding officers found him with stab wounds to the face, chest, arms and leg. Emergency medical units pronounced him dead that afternoon.
Cause of death, as reported: Killed by another person in custody. The West Virginia State Police criminal complaint says another inmate stabbed him in his cell, and a verbal altercation had happened days earlier.
