Ali F. Morad, 51, ran his own law firm and was a graduate of Emory University. He was held at the DeKalb County jail from May 10, 2017, and died on May 26 at DeKalb Medical Center after what the DeKalb County Sheriff's Office described in a news release as a medical emergency. The sheriff's office said it had opened an investigation into his death. The manner of death is listed as pending that investigation.
