Alexis Brianne Helton
Alexis Helton, 21, died on July 5, 2025, a few days after being placed in the custody of the Bay County Jail in Florida. The Bay County Sheriff's Office said her medical emergency appeared to stem from complications of substance use that began before she was held there. While medical staff were preparing her for hospital transport, she became unresponsive, and she was later pronounced dead at a hospital. The District 14 Medical Examiner's Office is investigating the official cause and manner of death.
