Alexander Murray
Alexander Murray, a Black man, was held at the Indianapolis County Jail for three days after his arrest, following a police surgeon's order for a sanity inquest. According to the South Bend News-Times, he was taken from the jail to City Hospital by ambulance. He died there a few hours later, on January 29, 1924.
