Alexander Lewis
Alexander Lewis, 22, died on December 7, 2023, at the Sedgwick County Detention Facility in Wichita, Kansas, where he was held pretrial. Sheriff's Lt. Nathan Gibbs said he was found unresponsive in Pod 18 shortly before 5:30 a.m. The sheriff's office said preliminary reports indicate he died from self-inflicted asphyxiation, and the Kansas Bureau of Investigation is looking into the death alongside the sheriff's office investigations division.
