Alexander Kelley
Alexander Kelley, 34, of Putney, died on March 14, 2023, while held at Southern State Correctional Facility in Springfield, Vermont. Staff found him in his cell early that Tuesday morning, and according to Vermont State Police he was pronounced dead shortly after. State police are investigating, and an autopsy will determine the cause and manner of death. The corrections department said the death is not considered suspicious at this time. The Public Defender's Prisoners' Rights Office is reviewing the death.
