Alan Ager
Alan Ager, 63, was held at Salinas Valley State Prison in California when his cellmate attacked him in April 2010. He died ten days later without regaining consciousness, and his cellmate later pleaded guilty to murder in his death. Ager's son Daniel said Ager had been filing complaints that he was not safe and expected to be killed in the yard. In March 2015, a federal judge ruled that the family had failed to show prison officials acted with deliberate indifference.
