Ahmad Abed
Ahmad Abed, 32, died on July 12, 2024, at Cook County Jail, where he was held before trial. According to the Cook County sheriff's office, he suffered an apparent medical emergency in the jail's residential treatment unit and was taken by paramedics to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
