Agustin Duran
Agustin Duran, 66, was held at Wasco State Prison in California when another person held there attacked him, according to prison officials. Officials said guards used pepper spray to stop the assault, which continued after an alarm sounded, and that he was flown to an outside hospital. Sources differ on the date: one gives July 7, 2018 as the attack and July 8 as his death, another says he died the day after the attack. Officials said they had no motive for the attack, and Kern County District Attorney's Office investigators were called to assist.
