Agustin Duran
Agustin Duran, 66, was held at Wasco State Prison in Wasco, California, when, according to prison officials, another person held there attacked him. The officials said guards used pepper spray to break up the assault, and he was taken to an outside hospital. He died the following day, and officials said he had been beaten to death by the other person. The prison's account of the attack has not been independently confirmed in the reporting.
