Adolfo Pedillo
Adolfo Pedillo was held in the county jail at Santa Fe, New Mexico, in March 1914. Early on March 31, about twenty masked men took him from the jail, according to an Associated Press report, and stabbed him repeatedly on a street corner, slashing his throat and wounding his lungs. The same report says he died at 11 o'clock that morning after doctors spent three hours treating the wound, and that he named no one before he died. A Seward Daily Gateway report of April 1 says an angry mob dragged him from the jail and stabbed him to death, and that his body was left in the street.
