Died in prison
Aaron Joshua Smith
Aaron Smith died on December 19, 2024, while held at Telfair State Prison in McRae-Helena, Georgia, the Georgia Department of Corrections said. The department said his body was turned over to the county coroner and will be sent to the GBI crime lab to determine the cause of death. Its Office of Professional Standards is investigating his death.
