Aaron Hernandez
Aaron Hernandez, 27, was a former New England Patriots tight end and the father of a young daughter. He died on April 19, 2017, in his cell at the Souza Baranowski Correctional Center in Massachusetts, where he was held. The Department of Corrections said he hanged himself with a bed sheet early that morning. His former agent, Brian Murphy, said Hernandez and his family loved him and that he would never have taken his own life, and the family disputes the suicide finding.
