Wm. Barton
Wm. Barton was sixteen years old when he was taken from the jail in St. Charles, Missouri, and hanged on the morning of March 26, 1880. According to a newspaper report, he received religious services from his spiritual advisers before the execution. The same report says he spoke a few words to the crowd in a low tone, and that about two thousand people watched from the scaffold area.
