William Zachary Harvey
William Zachary Harvey, 60, was held in a Savannah Police Department interrogation room in Savannah, Georgia, on April 2, 2021. According to the GBI investigation, he was found hanging from his shoestrings. Officers had left the room and returned to find him hanging, and the GBI found no video footage of the incident. Five officers were fired and one was suspended, and as of late August 2021 no charges had been filed against any officer. His family described him as a loving uncle and son.
