William Franklin
William Franklin was 77 years old. After he was taken to the Mobile County Metro Jail on November 30, 2023, he was placed in the jail's mental health unit because his cognitive condition was declining. Early on December 14 he was found unresponsive in his cell and pronounced dead. The sheriff's office said detectives found no signs of trauma and ordered an autopsy, and it said it had been unable to locate any of his relatives.
